Uma vez, Babaji Maharaj estava hospedado em um jardim chamado Vrindaban na cidade de Almora. Ele chamou um devoto chamado Dula e disse-lhe para levá-lo para algum lugar onde não havia água fria e pura.
Dula não conseguia decidir onde conseguir essa água, então ele pegou Babaji Maharaj para Shitla Khet onde havia um homem chamado Siromani Pathak, que poderia aconselhá-los sobre um lugar onde eles poderiam obter essa água.
Siromani Pathak levou Babaji Maharaj, Dula e um devoto chamado Gauri Datt Pant para uma selva. Eles andaram longe na selva, e ao pôr do sol. Estava escuro e era difícil encontrar água. Mas Shiromani Pathak continuei procurando, porque uma vez antes de ter visto um pouco de água em algum lugar nessa área.
Finalmente, depois de muito procurar, eles encontraram um lugar onde a água foi escorrendo para baixo, gota a gota. Eles colocaram um copo sob a água e levou meia hora para preenchê-la.
Babaji Maharaj bebeu a água e disse: "Esta é a água muito pura. Amanhã de manhã, vamos ver esse lugar. "
Na manhã seguinte, todos eles voltaram para o mesmo lugar. Babaji Maharaj começou a cavar no local com o dedo indicador, e de repente, a água jorrou em um grande fluxo.
Os devotos fizeram uma cabana lá para Babaji. O lugar era tão bonita que Babaji Maharaj disse que um ashram deve ser iniciado lá, e imediatamente os moradores doaram terras para o ashram. Babaji Maharaj chamou de Siddhashram e viveu lá durante seis meses.
Os devotos começaram a coletar pelo Siddhashram todos os dias para o seu darshan. Mas à noite as pessoas iriam ficar na aldeia ou retornar para suas casas. No entanto, uma noite Siromani Pathak não ir para a sua casa, ele dormia dentro da cabana em seu lugar. Quando ele estava em sono profundo, Babaji Maharaj acordou-o e disse-lhe: "Olhe para o que está lá perto da água."
Siromani Pathak viu quatro chamas de luz perto do córrego, e toda a área foi iluminada por aquelas chamas. Por 15 minutos ele viu as luzes antes que eles desapareceram.
Curioso, ele perguntou Babaji Maharaj sobre as luzes. Babaji lhe disse: "Este lugar é muito sagrado e vários deuses vir aqui na forma de luz."

HARIAKHAN BABAJI MAHARAJ AT SIDDHASHRAM IN ALMORA
One time, Babaji Maharaj was staying in a garden called Vrindaban in the town of Almora. He called a devotee named Dula and told him to take him to some place where there was pure, cold water.
Dula could not decide where to get such water, so he took Babaji Maharaj to Shitla Khet where there was a man named Siromani Pathak, who could advise them about a place where they could get such water.
Siromani Pathak took Babaji Maharaj, Dula and a devotee named Gauri Datt Pant to a jungle. They walked far into the jungle, and the sun set. It was dark and it was difficult to find water. But Shiromani Pathak kept searching because once before he had seen some water somewhere in that area.
Finally, after much searching, they found a place where water was seeping down drop by drop. They placed a tumbler under the water and it took half an hour to fill it.
Babaji Maharaj drank the water and said, “This is very pure water. Tomorrow morning we will see this place again.”
The next morning all of them went back to the same place. Babaji Maharaj started digging at the spot with his index finger, and all of a sudden, the water gushed out in a big stream.
The devotees made a hut there for Babaji. The place was so beautiful that Babaji Maharaj said that an ashram must be started there, and immediately the villagers donated land for the ashram. Babaji Maharaj named it Siddhashram and lived there for six months.
Devotees began to collect at Siddhashram every day for his darshan. But at night people would stay in the village or return to their houses. However, one night Siromani Pathak did not go to his house; he slept inside the hut instead. When he was in deep sleep, Babaji Maharaj woke him up and said to him, “Look at what is there near the water.”
Siromani Pathak saw four flames of light near the stream, and the whole area was lighted by those flames. For 15 minutes he watched the lights before they disappeared.
Curious, he asked Babaji Maharaj about the lights. Babaji told him, “This place is very sacred and various gods come here in the form of light.”
(People often saw lights coming to Babaji; it was said that the lights were high saints coming to Babaji to pay their respect.)
